Clyde Nelson, 77, of Topeka, formerly of Nevada, passed away Saturday, July 09, 2011.
He was born September 15, 1933 in Minneapolis, MN, the son of Carl Edwin and Agatha Olvida (Solbrack) Nelson.
He served in the U.S. Army and Air Force during the Korean War.
He was a public servant in Law Enforcement retiring after over 40 years.
He was a member of Salvation Army Church, Topeka, Montgomery Masonic Lodge in Minneapolis, MN and American Legion in St. Paul, MN.
Clyde married Kathleen Rose Marie Dryer on June 8, 1961 in Cedar Rapids, IA. She survives. Other survivors include three sons, Greg Nelson, Palmdale, CA, Mark Nelson, MN and Clyde Nelson, Jr. of MN; 3 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and his sister, Norma Birdsall, Cottonwood Falls, KS. He was preceded in death by his parents.
