Clyde will be remembered by family and friends, as an honest hard-working man with no enemies. He was always there to help anyone who had a job to do, and asked nothing in return. He loved fishing for trout and crappie, and spent countless hours in his woodworking shop. He built many oak furniture pieces for family members and friends.
He grew up on a dairy farm, and then worked for the Santa Fe Railroad at the Topeka office for 40 years. He retired in 1987, and moved to Eagle Rock, MO, where Betty and son, Denny were living. They moved to Springfield, MO in 2001, and then to Ozark in 2015. He had been on full-time oxygen since January, as a result of pneumonia.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, January 4, 2018 at Parker-Price Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 245 NW Independence Ave, Topeka. Burial will follow at Prairie Home Cemetery.
