Clarence Henry Osterhaus, 93, of Topeka, passed away Monday, June 27, 2022.
He was born March 13, 1929, in Baileyville, Kansas, the son of Joseph and Josephine (Enneking) Osterhaus.
Clarence loved to play cards with family and friends. He was very hands on when it came to both work and his family. He enjoyed helping his children with their home projects. He loved his work. He did concrete construction from the time he started working up until his retirement and continued until he was 74.
Clarence absolutely loved his walnut trees and his gooseberry bushes.
Clarence married Mary Ann on August 30, 1954. Together they attended Mother Theresa of Calcutta Catholic Church.
Survivors include his children, Robert (Tina) Osterhaus, John (Darlene) Osterhaus, Tom (Barbara) Osterhaus, Debra Haya, Carla (Rick) Fickel and Donald (Patti) Osterhaus; eight grandchildren, Tyler (Lu) Osterhaus, Darcy (Scott) Tindall, Jason Osterhaus, Daniele (Brad) Green, Teresa Osterhaus, Christy (Erik) Geis, Amber (Jon) Ramos, Shawn Fickel and eight great-grandchildren, Henry Tindall, Jon Green, Lily Green, Cameron Geis, Nolan Geis, Alena Ramos, Alexis Ramos, and Sullivan Truong.
He was preceded in death by his parents; loving wife Mary Ann; grandson, Matthew Fickel; great-grandson, Groot Tindall; siblings, Raymond, Vincent, Joseph Jr., Melvin, Kenneth, Rose, Gladys, and Mary.
He will lie in state from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 5, 2022. The family will greet friends starting at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday. A Celebration of his Life will be at 11:00 a.m. at Parker-Price Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 245 N.W. Independence Avenue, Topeka.
