Clarence (Irl) Hart, 82, of Topeka died Tues. morning, March 8, 2005 at St. Francis Hospial. He was born Feb. 14, 1923 at Perry, KS the son of Arthur O. and Lydia K. (Armstrong) Hart.
He served for 8 years in the U.S.Army during W.W. II and the Korean Conflict and arrived on Omaha Beach, Normany on D-Day plus One. He retired from the Kansas Army National Guard after 30 years. He was a life member of Perry Post #142 of the American Legion; Philip Billard Post # 1650, V.F.W.; a life member of Kansas National Guard Museum; Kansas National Guard Enlisted Assoc.; and the Tecumseh United Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Fri., March 11, 2005 at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence followed by military honors. Private interment of cremains will be in Zion Cemetery. Mr. Hart will lie in state at the funeral chapel after 2:00 p.m. Thurs. where the family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thurs.
