Clara White

Clara White, 77, of Topeka passed away on Saturday, May 1, 2021.   She was born December 5, 1943 in St Joseph, Missouri the daughter of Clarence and Mary Alice Carr Henry.   She lived most of her adult life in Topeka.   She enjoyed animals and always seemed to have a dog as a pet. She enjoyed sewing, bingo, was a faithful believer in God, loved soap operas, especially “The Young and the Restless,” game shows and the Home Shopping Network, and boxing. Muhammad Ali was her favorite. She was a loving and awesome mother and grandmother.

She was married to Del H. White. He precedes her in death.

Survivors include her three children, Mary Ann Fletchall of Topeka, Mark White in New Port Richey, Florida and Dale White in Oldsmar, Florida; seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Clara was also preceded in death by her parents and two siblings, James Henry and Dorothy Gafford.

Clara was cremated.   A memorial service will be held later and she will be buried near her family at Mount Hope Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Elara Hospice.
