Chrystal Lynn Hutchison, 50, of Topeka, passed away Friday, August 9, 2024.
She was born March 8, 1974, in Topeka, Kansas, the daughter of Calvin and Donna (Shepard) Bayless.
Chrystal served with Topeka Public Schools at Lundgren and State Street Elementary since 2009 and Williams Magnet School in 2024.
Chrystal married Michael "Scott" Hutchison on January 14, 1995, in Burlington, Kansas. He survives in Topeka. Other survivors include her son, Aaron Hutchison of Topeka; her father, Calvin Bayless of Topeka; her mother, Donna Staten of Burlington, KS, her brother, Austin Staten of Burlington, KS; her grandfather, Arden Bayless of Topeka. granddaughters, Izzy, Serentiy and Areonia Hutchison of Topeka.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Alayna Lynn Hutchison on February 23, 2014; and Grandmother, Michiko Tomiyama Bayless on May 11, 2020; Grandmother, Lavern Shepard Botham on April 12, 2018; Stepfather Bobby Max Staten Jr. on November 23, 2022.
Chrystal filled her days with love for her family and friends by creating memories and challenging all to do the same. She would capture every moment through photos and snapchat to share with family and friends. Chrystal's happiest place was on the water whether it's Kayaking or just floating in the pool she deeply cherished those times. She had a flare for the sunshine with her bright smile and charisma that everyone around her could feel.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, August 15, 2024, at Parker-Price & Davidson Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 245 N.W. Independence Avenue, Topeka.
A funeral ceremony will be at 1:00 p.m., Friday, August 16, 2024, at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Prairie Home Cemetery, Topeka.
