Christopher David Messier

Christopher David Messier, age 28, formerly of Topeka, passed away July 20, 2020 in Houston, Texas.  Chris was currently living in Leesville, LA.  Chris was born March 29th, 1992 in Colorado Springs, CO.  Christopher grew up in Topeka and Lawrence, KS. He attended Wanamaker Elementary School, Washburn Rural Middle School.  Chris also attended Washburn Rural High School and graduated from Topeka West High School in May 2011. Growing up, Chris participated in both choir and band in school and was active in both Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts. Chris loved to cook, to garden and to “hackey.”

Christopher was preceded in death by Martha Booth Stanley, grandmother and adoptive mother.  Chris is survived by: Eric G Villers, his partner, Leesville, LA; Celeste Weinkopf, birth mother, Topeka, KS; David Messier, birth father, Spokane, WA; Richard Gayan (Karen Abraham) Stanley, adoptive father, Big Springs, KS, and Ellen McClure-Shaffer, sister, Topeka, KS.  Chris is also survived by numerous siblings, cousins, aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews.

Memorial visitation will be Sunday, August 9, 2020 from 2:00 – 6:00 p.m. at the Davidson Funeral Home.  Memorial contributions may be made to Harvesters.  In lieu of flowers, please consider planting a tree in Christopher’s memory.
