Christopher D. Gatewood, 34, Topeka, passed away on Wednesday, November 28, 2007 at a local hospital.
Chris was born January 17, 1973 in Topeka, the son of Daniel and Annie (Owens) Gatewood. He attended schools in the Seaman and Mission Valley district.
He worked as a drywall finisher and was a member of Painters Local #96 for 10 years before being disabled.
Surviviors include his parents of Topeka; sister, Megan E. Gatewood; and nephew, Devin Ray Wolfe, both of Topeka; grandmother, Ann E. Owens, Eskridge; uncles, Charles E. Gatewood, William J. Gatewood, both of Topeka, Larry L. Gatewood, North Carolina, and John Gatewood, California.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, December 3, 2007 at Penwell-Gabel Parker Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence. Burial will follow in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery. Chris will lie in state at the funeral home after 1:00 p.m. on Sunday and visitation will be from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.
