Christopher M. Cox, age 49, of Topeka, passed away Wednesday evening, October 13, 2021 at his home in Topeka.  Chris was born February 14, 1972 in Topeka the son of John and Marilyn (Brown) Cox.  Chris graduated from Topeka High School in 1990.  He owned and operated his own construction company.  Chris had attended the St. Joseph Catholic Church.  Chris attained the rank of Eagle Scout and continued to be active over the years by serving as Cubmaster for Topeka Pack #31.  Chris enjoyed bowling, camping, fishing, motorcycles and, most importantly, spending time with his children.

Chris was preceded in death by his father, John Cox, Sr.   He is survived by a son, Nicholas Cox of Topeka; a daughter, Jessica Cox of Topeka;  his mother Marilyn and his loving stepfather Larry Reedy of Topeka; a brother, John (Charla) Cox, Jr. of Riley, KS; two sisters, Michele (Brandan) Norton of Topeka and Lori (Jeremy) Winkleman of Ozawkie, KS and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Monday, October 18, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at the Davidson Funeral Home.  Chris will lie in state Sunday from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m. with visitation from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. at the Davidson Funeral Home.  Private inurnment will be at a later date.  Memorial contributions may be made to the educational fund for Christopher’s children, made payable to Marilyn Reedy and sent in care of Davidson Funeral Home. davidsonfuneral.com
