Chris Michael Wadkins, 31, Topeka, died Tuesday, March 24, 2009 as a result of injuries he and his brother, Greg sustained in an automobile accident.
Chris was born April 14, 1977 in Topeka, the son of Ray L. and Pat J. (Friday) Wadkins. He graduated from Seaman High School in 1995.
He was employed as an electrician with International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local #226.
Chris enjoyed family, riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle and spending time with his friends.
Survivors include his parents, and sister, Jennifer Wadkins; nephew, Jack Alan Wadkins; maternal grandmother, Betty Friday; and paternal grandfather, Bob Long, all of Topeka. He was preceded in death by his brother, Greg Wadkins; grandmother, Wilma Long and grandfather, John Friday.
Mass of Christian Burial for the brothers will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, March 30, 2009 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Half Day Cemetery. Chris and Greg will lie in state at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel from noon until 5:00 pm on Saturday. You may also pay your respects and greet the family from 2:00 to 6:00 pm on Sunday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. A Rosary will be recited at 3:00 p.m.

A Benefit will be held in honor of Chris & Greg Wadkins beginning at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 29, 2009 at The Office, 8th & Jackson, Topeka.
