OBITUARY: Chester Franklin Thompson
Chester Franklin Thompson, 62, Topeka, died Fri., July 27, 2012, at St. Francis Health Center, Topeka. He was born June 4, 1950, in Topeka, the son of Charles Franklin and Blanche Viola (Ashton) Millard Thompson. At the age of 7, Chester was struck by an automobile and permanently disabled. Chester had lived with his mother until her death in 1987. He was a frequent bus rider and enjoyed walking at Westridge Mall. His family included brothers: Leonard "Banty" Millard, Bobbie Millard, Claire "Dutch" Millard, and Gordon Millard; and sister: Jeannie Jellison; and caregivers: Paul Gray and Phil Gray. Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM, Tues., at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence Ave., Topeka. Interment will be in St. George Cemetery, St. George, Pottawatomie County, Kansas. Memorial contributions may be made to The Capper Foundation, 3500 SW Tenth Avenue, Topeka, KS 66604.
