Charlotte Higgins, 86, of Topeka, passed away Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at her home. She was born January 30, 1929 in Topeka, the daughter of Charles and Florence Duffield Gesey.
She was a 1951 graduate of the William Allen White School of Journalism at the University of Kansas with a BS degree in Advertising.
Charlotte married Joseph S. Higgins on May 5, 1961. He preceded her in death on April 27, 2007. She was also preceded in death by an infant son, Charles Joseph Higgins in 1963. Survivors include one daughter, Florence (Greg) Bryant and one step-daughter, Debbie Mannon.
Private graveside services will be held at Muddy Creek Cemetery east of Hoyt. Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence Ave. is assisting the family.
