Charlotte Ann Yost, 72, of Topeka, passed away Thurs., March 25, 2010, at her home. She was born March 16, 1938, in Topeka, the daughter of William C. and Dorothy M. (Dahlstrom) Gilchrist. She was a graduate of Topeka High School. Charlotte was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother, who always put her family first. She enjoyed being around her grandkids. She loved tending to her flowers; dancing; shopping; and K.U. basketball. She enjoyed watching Sunday morning ministries. Charlotte married Billy Lee Yost, Sr. on April 27, 1956 in Winchester. He preceded her in death on November 8, 1991. Survivors include two daughters, Sheryl A. Schnegelsiepen (Dallas) and Christine A. Rose (Rick), both of Topeka; a son, Billy Lee Yost, Jr. (Karen), Topeka; 3 grandchildren: Dallas Schnegelsiepen, Jr., Amy Schnegelsiepen, and Derek Yost; a great-grandson: Dallas Schnegelsiepen III; 2 sisters: Sandra Everhart (Francis) of New Port Richey, FL and Deborah Halstead of Topeka; and a brother: Bill C. Gilchrist (Linda) of Topeka. She was preceded in death by a brother Robert "Bobby" Gilchrist. Funeral ceremonies will be at 1:00 PM, Monday, March 29, 2010, at the Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence Ave, Topeka, KS. Interment will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery, Perry, KS. Mrs. Yost will lie in state after 2 :00 PM, Sunday, at the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 PM.
