OBITUARY: Charley Kovar
Charley Kovar, 101, Delia, died Sat. morning, Feb. 3, 2007, at Midland Hospice House. He was born Dec. 17, 1905, at Delia. He spent all of his life around Delia as a farmer on Soldier Creek. He was a Master Mason at Delia Lodge # 419, AF & AM for 79 years. He was preceded in death by a brother, three sisters, and his wife, Viola R. Keller Kovar.
Survivors include daughters: Doreen Stone and Bertha Dunn both of Topeka, Grace Turenne (Robert) of Baxter, MN, Peggy Spencer (James) of Blair, OK; a son Philip Kovar (Peggy) of Milford; 11 Grandchildren; 12 Great-Grandchildren; and 8 Great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10:00 AM, Wed., Feb. 7, 2007, at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence followed by Masonic Services conducted by Delia Lodge # 419, AF & AM. Interment in Czech-Moravan Cemetery. Charley will lie in state after 3:00 PM Tues. at the funeral chapel where the family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:00 PM.
