Charles William Richeson, Sr.
Charles William Richeson, Sr., 67, Topeka died Friday, June 24, 2016, at his home. He was born December 31, 1948, in Leavenworth.
Chuck lived in Leavenworth and Meriden before moving to Topeka. He was a member of the Ironworkers Union and was employed by Missouri Valley Fabrics and Steel at Leavenworth as a crane operator. He worked at the Downtowner Diner in Topeka for 35 years.
Surviving are three children: Donald Ray Richeson (Rebecca) of Excelsior Springs, MO, Charles William Richeson, Jr. (Raena) of Atchison, and Brenda Lee Simpson (Scott) of Leavenworth; siblings: Carol Walker (John), John Benton (Sandy), Bert Benton (Tammy), Danny Benton, and Beth Benton all of Topeka; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandsons. He was preceded in death by his mother and step-father: June and Forrest Benton; and two brothers: Freddy and Jack Benton.
A memorial visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:30 AM, Thursday, June 30, 2016, at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence Avenue, Topeka.
