Charles Stephens

Charles H. Stephens, 66, of Topeka. formerly of Valley Falls, Kansas, passed away, Saturday, December 25, 2004 at his home.
He was born December 19, 1938 at Jefferson City, MO the son of Orin and Meredith Stephens.
Charles was a military veteran serving in the United States Air Force.
He was employed by Frito Lay for 26 years retiring as a manager in the Maintenance Department.
Charles was married to Mary Thompson June 11, 1983 in Topeka, Kansas. She survives. Other survivors include, two daughters, Melissa A. Stephens, Cathy Stephens, one son, Cary Stephens all of Topeka; two brothers, Robert and James Stephens, and five sisters, Zenda Grant, Agnes Mart, Bettie Mayfield, JoAnn Ridder, Frances Burkhardt and six grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 29, 2004 at the Penwell-Gabel Parker Price Chapel in North Topeka. Cremation will follow the service. Mr. Stephens will lie in state after 12:00 noon Tuesday at the funeral home where the family will greet friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Tuesday.
