OBITUARY: Charles Richard Logan
Charles Richard Logan, 64, Lecompton, died Wed., Oct. 14, 2009, at his home. He was born Dec. 29, 1944, in Topeka, the son of Joseph V. and Juanita L. (Rubottom) Logan. He graduated from Lecompton High School. Charles was a farmer-rancher and outdoorsman. He was married to Clydeen M. Petersilie on April 24, 1971, at Lecompton. Surviving in addition to his wife are 3 daughters: Brenda R. Rhoades of Lecompton, Georgia R. Hollis (Matt) of Valley Falls, and Sara R. Thomas (Alan) of Silver Lake; and 4 grandchildren: Brittany Rhoades, Dustin Rhoades, Brodie Hollis, and Alissa Thomas. He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother. Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM, Sat., Oct. 17, 2009, at Big Springs United Methodist Church. Interment in East View Cemetery. Charles will lie in state after 3:00 PM, Fri., at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence, Topeka, where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to Wild Trust for Passion "Pass It On," 310 East Second, Wichita, KS 67202.
