Charles Raymond Myers

Charles Raymond Myers, 88, of Topeka, Kansas, passed away October 14, 2017 peacefully at his home. Charles was born on March 29, 1929 in Vliets, Kansas to Ralph and Julia Myers. Charles graduated from Vermillion High School.

Charles greatest joy was his family and friends. He loved getting together with his coffee buddies every day and talking politics and various other topics. Charlie spent many years as a sales manager entertaining others, playing golf, and playing his harmonica for whoever would listen.

Charlie is preceded in death by his two daughters, Charla Harmonson and Shelley Myers; two brothers, Percy and Gerald Myers; sister Bernice Loreene Parks and one infant sister.

He is survived by his daughter Diana Van Stone of Overland Park, Kansas; one sister, Martha Holmes of Topeka; three grandchildren, Natalie Bowman of Topeka, Rachael Burkhart of Lawrence, and Lorien Duran of Overland Park, Kansas; and three great grandchildren.

Memorial gathering will be Friday, October 20, 2017 at 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Davidson Funeral Home. Following the service, the family will receive guests at Terry’s Bar and Grill.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Topeka Rescue Mission or the Red Cross and sent in the care of Davidson Funeral Home.
