Charles E. Linder, 70, Topeka, passed away Monday, September 3, 2007 at his home. He was born on January 14, 1937, in Topeka, KS the son of Edmund D. and Bertha J. Billings Linder.
He graduated from Topeka High School in 1955 and L.A. Trade Technical College in 1970. He received a Business Administration Degree and attended California State College in Los Angeles, CA. Charles served in the U.S. Army from 1959 to 1962. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church and American Legion Capitol Post #1.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Evelyn Phillips and Sandra Best.
Survivors include three sisters, Shirley Kincaid of Berryton; Carol Tillman of Topeka; Betty Hewer of CA; brothers, Richard, Kenneth, Melvin, Larry, Keith, Marvin, Dale and Jerry Linder all of Topeka; sister-in-laws and brother-in-laws; an aunt; Margaret Linder, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 1:30PM, Friday, September 7, 2007 at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence. Interment will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery. Charles will lie in-state after 4:00PM, Thursday at the funeral chapel. The family will receive friends from 7:00 - 8:00PM.
