OBITUARY: Charles Franklin Brumley
Charles Franklin Brumley, 69, Topeka, died Sat. morning, Dec. 9, 2006, at Stormont-Vail Hospital. He was born Nov. 25, 1937, at Topeka, the son of Charles Edward and Vera "Maxine" (Miles) Brumley. He was a loving father and grandfather.
Charles was retired. He had served in the U.S. Marine Corps for 4 years and was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.
Surviving are 2 sons: Ray Brumley of Lenoir City, TN and Bill Brumley of Denver City, TX; 4 daughters: Susan Davidson of Grann, TN, Teresa Doud of Tempe, AZ, Colette McKinnon of Topeka, and April Spencer of Topeka; 3 brothers: Bill Brumley, Lyle Brumley, and Ronnie Creech all of Topeka; 3 sisters: Darlene Meier of Topeka, Ada Massey of Kansas City, and Jeanine Hollenbeck of Topeka; 17 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m., Tues., Dec. 12, 2006, at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 N.W. Independence. Interment will be in Buster Cemetery, northeast of Perry. Charles will lie in state after 2:00 p.m., Monday, at the funeral chapel where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m.
