OBITUARY: Charles Edward Allen
Charles Edward Allen, 90, Topeka, died Mon., March 20, 2006 at Aldersgate Village. He was born April 13, 1915, at Frazee, MN the son of Fred and Ida Mae (Myers) Allen.
Charles was a switchman for the Union Pacific Railroad for 38 years before retiring. He was a member of Golden Rule Lodge # 90, A.F. & A.M.
He was married to Zelda C. Clark who preceded him in death on March 27, 2004.
Surviving are a son: Tom Allen of Topeka; a daughter: Carole Allen of Eskridge; 4 grandchildren: Tom Allen, John Allen, Charles Allen, and Cheryl Allen; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Memorial graveside services will be at 1:00 p.m., Fri., March 24, 2006 at Penwell-Gabel's Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Topeka Assoc. for Retarded Citizens, Inc., 2701 S.W. Randolph, Topeka, KS 66611.
