Charles D. Shull, Topeka, passed away on Friday, April 13, 2012 after an extended battle with cancer. He was born on December 23, 1951 in Marshall, Missouri, the son of Charles Henry and Wanda (Smith) Shull.
Charles was a U.S. Army veteran that served two tours during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the American Legion Post No. 400 and V.F.W. Post No. 1650. Charles owned and operated C&L Excavation and had a love of farming.
On December 16, 1978, he married Linda S. Warner in Topeka. She survives. He is also survived by his son, Jesse (Angelique) Stewart of Wichita, KS; his sister Sue (Toby) Bakert of Marshall, Mo; and one granddaughter, Stacy Nicole Stewart of Wichita, KS.
Graveside services with military honors conducted by the American Legion Post No. 400 will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, April 17 at Prairie Home Cemetery. Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel is assisting with arrangements.
