Charlene Workman

March 12, 1937 — November 1, 2024

Topeka

Charlene Y. Workman peacefully passed away November 1, 2024 at home surrounded by her family. She was born to Charles and Lillie (Oshel) Bond on March 12, 1937. Parker-Price & Davidson is assisting the family.

Charlene "Char" was a loving Wife, Mother, Grandma (Nanny), Great Grandma and friend. She was a fantastic cook who hosted Sunday family dinners for years, and loved her family like none other. Charlene was known for her kind heart, generosity, and helping others.

In her later years, she moved to Atria, now Celebration Villa of Hearthstone West, where she served as an ambassador. She absolutely loved living there surrounded by caring staff as well as the many wonderful residents who became close, dear friends; some like sisters. She adored and loved them all, and they loved her. The family heard from many, ‘what a wonderful person Charlene was and how much she meant to each of them’. It makes one feel so good and comforted when so many people show how much they cared for her. Thank you, Atria, for taking such good care of our Mother.

Charlene was preceded in death by her husband Richard L. Workman. She has 3 children: Debi May (Mick), Randy Workman (Alissa), and Kristy Workman. She has 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. All will miss her dearly.

Per Charlene's wishes, cremation has taken place, and a private graveside service with her immediate family will take place at Prairie Home Cemetery.
