OBITUARY: Cecile Marie Kelly
Cecile Marie Kelly was born in Topeka, KS, March 8, 1915, to George V. and Cecile Harriet (Godard) Kelly and died Feb. 18, 2006.
She attended Highland Park High School and spent most of her life in Topeka. Cecile was a devout member of the Wanamaker Seventh-Day Adventist Church assuming the responsibility of keeping in contact with shut-ins by sending them handwritten notes of the weekly sermon and church papers as long as she was able. Cecile worked for many years as a Literature Evangelist, selling Christian books for her church.
She is survived by her brother and his wife, Prentis and Nadine Kelly of Topeka, a cousin, Ruth Weed of Topeka, 23 nieces and nephews and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m., Thurs., Feb. 23, 2006, at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 N.W. Independence. Interment will be in Topeka Cemetery, 10th and California. Cecile will lie in state after 3:00 p.m., Wed., at the funeral chapel.
