Cecil J. Royalty, 92, of Topeka, went to his heavenly home, Friday, November 7, 2014.
He was born August 2, 1922, in Rockwell City, Iowa, the son of Cecil Faye and Helen (Moeller) Royalty. He graduated from Grace and Glory Bible School in Kansas City, MO in 1942. He served in the U.S. Army Air Force during WW II from 1942 to 1945.
Mr. Royalty was a Missionary for the Pentecostal Denomination for 34 years in Paraguay and Argentina, retiring in 1979. He later worked at the Topeka Rescue Mission for 11 years.
He was a member of Grace Chapel in Carbondale, KS and Full Gospel Grace Fellowship in Sapulpa, OK.
Cecil married LeOpal Frances Foster on December 30, 1945 in Tulsa, OK. She preceded him in death on November 19, 1979. He later married Bonnie J. (Foster) Crable on June 21, 1980 in Topeka. She survives. Other survivors include his children, Sharon Alice Gravitt, Kansas City, MO, Genavie Katherine Royalty, Paraguay, South America, LaVerna Cecilia (Jack Bowers) Acuna Bowers, Phoenix, AZ, Sandra Sue (Pastor Paul) Crable-Golden, Alvin, TX, Sonne Israel, Topeka, Kevin Ray (Della) Crable, Topeka, Galen Roy (Heather) Crable, Topeka; 18 grandchildren, Matthew (Carol) Royalty, Mark (Jessica) Royalty, Micheal Royalty, Misty (Allen) Wilson, Shaunna (Levi) Phippen, Brian Gravitt, Cecil Acuna, Enrique Acuna, Rachel (Ted) Story, Jared Golden, Alisha Golden, Jessica Golden, Timothy Golden, Nason Crable, Karissa (Greg) Hanna, Kelby Crable, Jessica Kline, Jacob Kline; 29 Great Grandchildren, Liberty Phippen, Justice Phippen, Levi Phippen III, Gadge Gravitt, Jaylee Gravitt, Haylyn Gray, Isaias Acuna, Marcial Acuna, Taj Acuna, Ana Acuna, Emilio Acuna, Alexander Royalty, Erika Royalty, Noah Royalty, Caleb Royalty, Tristan Royalty, Anthony Royalty, ShaeLynn Wilson, Austin Wilson, Lucas Wilson, Micah Wilson, Christian Golden, Alexi Oliveira, Alia Oliveira, Kyler Booth, Mary-Jane Greigo, Cable Leifeste, Alexus Golden, Olivia Hanna; several nieces and nephews; and his canine companion, Princess.
He was preceded in death by his parents; children in infancy, Sara Linn, Jimmy LeRoy and Simon Cecil Royalty; a son, Samuel Lee Royalty on August 26, 2014; his brother, Dale Royalty; his sister, Donna Pratt; his step-mother, Katheryn Astle Royalty; and two great grandchildren Coner Royalty died December 17, 1997, Levi Phippen II died September 5, 1999.
Cecil enjoyed studying the Word of God and singing. He also enjoyed stamp and coin collecting. He loved all children, especially his grandchildren and animals.
A funeral ceremony will be 2 p.m., Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at the Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence Ave, Topeka. Cecil will lie in state after 3 p.m., Monday, November 10, 2014 at the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m.
A graveside service with military honors will be 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at the Round Mound Cemetery, East of Cedar Vale, Kansas.
