OBITUARY: Carolyn Nadine Claspill

Carolyn Nadine Claspill, 70, of Tecumseh, died Mon., June 22, 2009, at Midland Hospice House. She was born Aug. 18, 1938, at Fort Scott, the daughter of Hugh and Eva Hawkins. She had worked as a typesetter for many years. She was married to Dexter Hilton Claspill on April 7, 1958, in Topeka. Surviving are her husband: Dexter of the home; a daughter: Cheryl Foss of Omaha, NE; a son: Dexter Claspill II (Wilma) of Tecumseh; a sister: Huleta Dowell of Wichita; grandchildren: Sarah (Foss) & Patrick Hodgson, Troy & Trinity Claspill, Nick Claspill; great-grandchildren: Gavin & Gwendolynne Hodgson, Aaliyah, Destiny, & Lilly Claspill, and Dakota Scribner, Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM, Thurs., at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence, Topeka. Interment in Prairie Home Cemetery. Carolyn will lie in state after 3:00 PM, Wed., at the funeral chapel where the family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:00 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to Midland Hospice, 200 SW Frazier Circle, Topeka, KS 66606-2800.
