Caroline Anna (Rose) Keyser, 79, passed away after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's Disease on Monday, May 14, 2018 at Brookdale Senior Living.
Caroline was born September 20, 1938, in Wichita, Kansas, the oldest daughter of Franklin H. and Caroline A. (Gallelli) Rose, Sr. She graduated from Hoyt High School in 1956. She was a long time member of Community Congregational Church. Maple Hill, KS. Caroline retired from the state of Kansas after a 38 year career working in various agencies as an accountant and secretary.
Caroline was very active in the Order of Eastern Star and served for the Grand Chapter of Kansas as Grand Organist; Grand Electa; District Aide; Grand Representative of New Jersey in Kansas; President of the Grand Representatives Association; Special Project Alzheimer's Disease; Chairman of Necrology and Publicity and Chairman and Editor, of the "En-Light-Ner." She was a lifetime member of Loyal Chapter No. 176 O.E.S.
Caroline played the organ and piano; and she was very active singing solos at O.E.S. functions and church, where she played the organ during the summer months.
Survivors include her daughter and son in-law Vicki and Gerald (Jerry) Hutley of Topeka, KS, brother, James Rose, Manhattan, KS; two sisters Susan Molton, Southern Pines, NC; Margaret (David) Frederick, Tecumseh, KS, sister in-law, Jean Rose, Kansas City, MO, and many nieces and nephews.
Caroline is preceded in death by her parents; brother Franklin H. Rose, Jr.; sister, Kathleen Rose and brother, Timothy Rose.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 23, 2018 at Parker Price Cremations, Funerals & Receptions. There will be a reception from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. following the Celebration of Life.
