Carol E. Fritch

 Carol E. Fritch, a devoted family man and cherished member of the Topeka community, passed away on March 21, 2025, at the age of 86, in Kansas City, Kansas, surrounded by his beloved family. Born on August 31, 1938, in Centralia, Kansas, Carol was the son of Levi William Fritch and Annabelle L. (Kolb) Fritch. He graduated from Centralia High School, embarking on a fulfilling career that would see him dedicate over 30 years to Goodyear, where he retired as an electrician.

Carol was recognized not only for his technical skills but also for his vibrant personality. Those who knew him would describe him as ornery, stubborn, kind, and giving. He was a pillar of his family, whose love and strength bore witness through the generations.

An avid fisherman, Carol found joy in the tranquility of nature and relished the peaceful moments spent outdoors. He cherished traveling with his wife, Delores, and their journey included adventures with his siblings. The couple was married on April 14, 1956, and their bond endured until Delores’s passing on February 22, 2022.

Family was at the core of Carol's life, and he took great pleasure in spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Together, they created countless cherished memories, and Carol’s legacy lives on through them. He enjoyed making intricate knickknacks, treasure hunting with his metal detector, and spending his days in his lawn chair, searching for good walking sticks.

Carol is survived by his sons Dennis (Jacque), Derry (Andra), and Michael (Kathy) Fritch; his daughter Marsha (Todd) Gall; grandchildren Lindsay (Jermaine) Smith, Sydney (Preston) Kilgore, Desiree (Joe) Perry, William, Lane, and Faith Fritch; and great-grandchildren Kaden and Rhyian Smith, Braedyn Schultz, Conner Perry, Zander Smith, Hadley Kilgore, Carter Perry, and Grahm Kilgore.

He is also mourned by his brother Bob (Sharon) Fritch.

In addition to his beloved family, Carol is preceded in death by his cherished wife Delores, son Doug Fritch and grandson Nicholas Fritch, and siblings Marvin, Bill, Vernon, Eldon Fritch, as well as sisters Millie Mooney, Betty Bomaster, Wilma Mayer, and Erma Stalcup.

A gathering to honor Carol's life will take place on March 28, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Parker-Price & Davidson Reception Center, located at 1940 NW Central Ave, Topeka, Kansas.

Years may pass, but Carol E. Fritch's kindness, dedication to family, and adventurous spirit will be forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
