Carol (Slack) Fleischer, 85, of Topeka, passed away Tuesday, January 23, 2024.
She was born October 23, 1938, in Topeka, Kansas, the daughter of Woodrow and Matilda (Tonetti) Slack. She was a graduate of Topeka High School.
Carol married Billie Jack Fleischer on January 4, 1964 in Topeka. He preceded her in death on July 3, 2012. Survivors include her daughters, Landa (Frank) Frontino and Linda Fleischer; grandchildren, Cliff (Sarah) Hastings, Melissa (Jesse) Miller, Kimmy (Dee) Riley, Bud Pittenger, Brooke Fleischer, and Trey Fleischer; great-grandchildren, Jon Hastings, Kendra Riley, Katy Hastings, Chase Hastings, Daphne Riley, Isaac Miller, Izzabella Pittenger, Hudson Miller, and Emery Miller and 28 foster children.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her Husband, Billie Jack Fleischer; step-son, Billie Fleischer, and her sister, Donna Biester.
Carol enjoyed gardening, oil painting, thrifting, collecting stamps, going to garage sales and fishing. She absolutely loved her grandchildren and her family and will be missed by all that knew her.
A Celebration of life will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 27, 2024 at Maple Hill Community Congregational Church, 104 East 4th Street, Maple Hill, KS. Interment will follow at Maple Hill Cemetery, in Maple Hill. Carol will Lie in State after 3:00 p.m. on Friday, January 26, 2024 at Parker-Price, 245 NW Independence Ave., Topeka, KS 66608, where family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.
