Cara Lee Malloy, 82, of Perry, passed away on December 15, 2021 at her home, surrounded by her family.
She was born on November 1, 1939 to Eugene and Viola Goins in Reno, NV.
Cara graduated from Perry High School in 1957. After graduating she worked for a short time before dedicating her life to being a wife, mother of 6, and homemaker.
Cara took great pride in being a grandmother to her 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
She was an avid reader. Cara could always be found with a book in her hand. She was an amazing cook and baker. She made all of her children's wedding cakes and her grandchildren's birthday cakes every year. Cara was also an amazing photographer, gardener, wood worker, seamstress, doll maker, poodle lover, and knitted dozens of sweaters for her family and still made time to attend all of her grandchildren's sporting events, musicals, ballets, and school events.
On December 31, 1966, Cara married Duane Lee Malloy in Perry, Kansas.
Cara is survived by her loving Husband, Duane; Children, Regina Tyrell, Julia (Steve) Gratton, Russell Malloy, John (Kathleen) Malloy, Joe Malloy; Sister, Donna (Ed) Benton, Grandchildren, Jennifer (Greg) Coughlin, Brian Tyrell, Jessica (Josh) Holloway, Travis Steffey, Josh Malloy, Madison Malloy, Nick Malloy, Ben Malloy, Jack Malloy, Talena Malloy; Great-Grandchildren, Illayah Tyrell, Callum Coughlin , Kyler Holloway, Elizabeth Holloway, and Jaxon Holloway.
She was preceded in death by both of her parents; Daughter, Marcia Malloy; Sister, Judy Miller; and Grandson, Jacob Malloy.
Visitation will be held Sunday, December 19, 2021, 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Parker-Price Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 20, 2021, 10:00 am at the Parker-Price Funeral Home. Graveside Service will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Perry, Kansas .
Memorial contributions may be made to Midland Hospice Care.
