Caleb "Lee" Radford, Jr.
Caleb "Lee" Radford, Jr., 80, Topeka, KS, died Saturday, June 15, 2013, at Washburn Community Care Center, Topeka. He was born July 27, 1932, in Topeka, the son of Caleb "Lee" Radford, Sr. and Alice Jane (Andrews) Radford.
Lee was raised in Topeka and graduated from Seaman High School and then attended seminary. He retired from Beech Aircraft in Salina.
He was a member of Solomon City Lodge # 105, AF & AM; Salina Lodge # 60, AF & AM; Salina Scottish Rite Bodies; Isis Shriners; and Salina Eagles Aerie.
Surviving are nine children: Norma Jean Thomas (Terry) of Topeka, Debbie Woolery (Harold) of Augusta, Thomas Radford of Wichita, Janet Radford of Wichita, Justin Radford (Carolyn) of Wichita, James Radford of Wichita, Kelly John Radford (Vickie) of Wichita, Daniel Radford (Emelie) of Wichita, Carrie Garrelts of Wichita; two brothers: George Radford (Dixie) of Topeka and Ralph Radford of Topeka; an aunt: Alta Vorhies of Eudora; 22 grandchildren; 58 great-grandchildren; and 9 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son: Jeremy Radford; a grandson: Ryan; a great-grandson: Quinten; and two brothers: Eddie Radford and Marion Radford.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM, Friday, June 21, 2013, at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence Avenue, Topeka. Masonic services will be conducted by Solomon City Lodge # 105, AF & AM. Cremation will follow services.
Lee will lie in state after 3:00 PM, Thursday, at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:30 PM.
