Byron "RRRich" Richardson, 79, of Topeka, passed away Wednesday, January 31, 2024.
He was born December 30, 1944, in Topeka, Kansas, the son of Glenn and Lila (Wray) Richardson.
He graduated from Highland Park High School in 1963.
He proudly served in the Army National Guard, serving as a mechanic at Fort Carson during the Vietnam War. He was honorably discharged in 1969.
He worked as a diesel mechanic at Ryder Truck and later Hamm's Quarry, retiring in 2007.
He enjoyed going hunting, camping and fishing with his friends. He enjoyed motorcycles, and was a big supporter and lifetime member of ABATE of Kansas. He was very selfless and helped countless friends and even strangers in times of need. He was also passionate about drinking beer and chatting.
He also enjoyed supporting his wife during her races and bragging about his kids and grandkids to anyone who would listen. He was a big supporter of his children and their family's activities. As a family they would travel all over the United States.
RRRich liked to collect Harley or ABATE t-shirts and hats of all kinds. He was a big Chiefs fan!
Byron married Sheryl "Sherry" K Richardson on November 26, 1982 in Topeka, KS, she survives of the home. Other survivors include his children, Barry Richardson, Teresa Richardson, Tana (Jim) Barndollar, and Zac Broughton; grandchildren, Kendal Broughton, Andrew Broughton, and Isaac Barndollar; siblings, Lela Althoff, Herbert Richardson, Charlie Richardson, and Marvin Richardson. He was preceded in death by his parents Glenn and Lila.
