Burton Lloyd Scofield Jr., 67, of Valley Falls, passed away Saturday, November 13, 2021.
He was born July 12, 1954, in Topeka, Kansas, the son of Burton and Mabel (Standbury) Scofield. He graduated from Highland Park High School in 1972. He served in the Army.
Burton was employed in landscaping, roofing and finally as an auto mechanic.
Survivors include a daughter Misty Scofield of Arkansas; siblings Paul L. Scofield (Annabelle), Judie Ann Scofield, and Joyce M. Scofield, all of Topeka and Mabeline L. Lester of Carbondale; three grandchildren; five nieces; five great-nephews; five great-nieces; and five great-great-nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Davis Scofield.
Burton enjoyed racing cars, riding his motorcycles and feeling the sunshine beaming down on him as he rode and he loved fishing.
Burton was cremated. Memorial contributions may be made to American Lung Association of the Central States, 2400 Troost Ave, Ste 4300, Kansas City, MO 64108-9736.
