Bruce Garner, 58, of Topeka, passed away, Sunday, June 4, 2006 at the V.A..
He was born December 13, 1947 in Topeka, the son of Claud and Marie Garner.
Bruce served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam.
He was a truck driver in Topeka most of his career.
He married Dorothy Inscho. She survives. Other survivors include his three children, David Hedges, Teresa Akin and Danny Hedges, three sisters, Charlotte Rosenbaum, Darlene Vacura, and Alma Stauffer; 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers Jim and Bill Garner.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 am Wednesday, June 7, 2006 at the Penwell-Gabel Parker Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence Avenue. Burial will follow at the Topeka Cemetery. Mr. Garner will lie in state after 12 noon Tuesday at the funeral home where the family will greet friends from 7:00 until 8:00 p.m. that evening.
