Brooklyn Jennifer Marie Carter, aged 25, passed away on September 10th, 2024, in Omaha, Nebraska. Born on June 26th, 1999, Brooklyn was known for her vibrant and bubbly personality. She was outgoing, outspoken, and never knew a stranger. Her intelligence and humor shone brightly, and her love for animals and bold faith were evident to all who knew her. She was an eloquent writer that made you feel known, special and like a dear friend. Brooklyn had a special bond with her siblings, who were also her best friends.
Brooklyn graduated from Seaman High School and was most recently employed at Security National Bank. Growing up she was a member of Northland Christian Church, she also attended Christ Place Church Beatrice Campus and Woodlake Church for a season and most recently attended Way Maker Baptist Church in Omaha, where she loved to serve and was deeply involved in community.
Her hobbies included singing, playing the guitar, crafting, reading, watching anime, gardening, bird watching, and studying theology. She also loved adventuring, fishing, attending concerts and traveling with her boyfriend Justin whom she deeply loved. Brooklyn had the unique ability to teach herself any new hobby she became interested in.
Brooklyn is survived by her mother, Dallas; father, Matt; brother, Taylor and his fiancee, Zoe; sister, Reagan; brother, Phoenix; and sister, Ashlyn Schuetz.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 18th, from 5:30-7pm at Mission Church, 4121 SW Huntoon St. Topeka, KS 66604. A Celebration of Life will follow on Thursday, September 19th, at 1pm at the same location. Contributions in memory of Brooklyn can be made to Sheepgate, 25478 S. 23rd Road, Beatrice, NE 68310.
