Brigitte Nelson

Brigitte Nelson, age 78, of Topeka, passed away Wednesday, April 15, 2020 at the Presbyterian Manor. She was born June 11, 1941 in Linter, Germany the daughter of Paul and Johanna (Rump) Kaltwasser. Brigitte graduated from high school in Germany. She met and married Frank Nelson, who was serving in the Army, March 17, 1962 in Michigan. Brigitte worked for various retail stores in Topeka, such as WoolCo, Gordman’s and Kohl’s. Brigitte is survived by her husband of over 58 years, Frank M. Nelson; a son, Andre (Jackie) Nelson of Topeka; a daughter, Michelle (David) Young of Harveyville, KS; three grandchildren, Shawn, Terra and Anthony and five great grandchildren. Brigitte was preceded in death by a sister, Hannelore, and a grandson, Wesley. Brigitte was active with a German club in Topeka. She enjoyed singing and was in a band while living in Germany. She enjoyed spending time with her family playing Yahtzee. She also enjoyed going to the casino.
