Brian Paul Steinbock, 56, of Topeka passed away on November 19, 2023. Brian was born on April 19, 1967, to Richard and Carolyn Steinbock. He attended Seaman High School where he played football and was named to the All City First Team his senior year. After graduating in 1985, Brian was awarded a football scholarship and went on to Butler County Community College where he continued to play football and graduated in 1987.
Brian began working for Topeka Foundry & Iron Works in 1993 in the machine shop. He moved to retail sales where he worked until 2023.
In 2002 Brian married the love of his life, Jennifer Owen. They spent many happy years traveling, and being parents to their fur babies, Lola and Penelope. Brian enjoyed playing golf with his friends, pool days with his family, and watching sports. He was an avid Chiefs and KU fan and could be found most Saturdays tailgating at a KU game.
Brian is survived by his wife, Jennifer, and his beloved pup Penelope. He is also survived by his parents, Dick and Carolyn Steinbock, his sister Lori Steinbock Clark (Brad Wilde) and his brother, Brad Steinbock (Lesley); additionally, Brian's nieces and nephews, Aubrey and Mason Clark, and Dylan and Addyson Steinbock; his father-in-law, Tom Owen; sister-in-law, Kim Busey, survive him.
Brian and Jennifer took comfort in the love and support they received during this journey from their families and their framily, Carl, Stacy, Darren, Anita, Corby and Stacy.
Brian's family generously donated his irises and corneas to the Saving Sight Organization. One of Brian's friends so eloquently stated that, "anyone would be lucky to see through Brian's eyes."
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Helping Hands Humane Society or the Topeka Zoo.
