Brian Lee Dougan, Sr. of Topeka passed away on Saturday, February 6, 2021. Brian worked as a welder by trade and had worked at Capital City Iron Works and later Topeka Metal Specialties. He enjoyed driving the backroads, motorcycles, hunting and fishing in earlier years. He raised chickens and ducks. Brian also enjoyed watching westerns and the Godfather movies. He had a passion for his family.
He was married to Julie on December 6, 2013.
He is survived by his wife Julie Dougan of Topeka; his children, Brian Dougan, Jr., Matthew Dougan; daughters, Chelsea Dougan, Ashley Dougan and Tiffany Dougan, Jadyn Dougan and Jessica Castle; mother, Shirley Wright; brothers, Joseph Wright (Shelly) and Jackie Dougan-Redmond (Lois); sisters, Jacquelyn “Suzi” Dougan, Tamara Highfill, and Tasha Simmons; grandchildren, Rylie, Ryan, Amyiah, Ryder, A’mare, Ky’Lee, Ky’Son, Gregory, Kainon, Gage, Xander, Brayden, Jaxson, Liam and Shelby; and many nieces and nephews. Brian is also survived by the mother of his children, Roxanne Alejos and Amy Eubanks.
He was preceded in death by his father Conway “Jack” Dougan; and his daughter Katy Jo Dougan and a niece Tabitha Cremer.
The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:30 Friday morning, February 19th at Davidson Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow, beginning at 10:30 am. Interment will be on Friday afternoon at 1:30 pm at Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Johnson County. Memorial donations may be made to Davidson Funeral Home, 1035 N. Kansas Avenue, Topeka, Ks 66608.
