Brandon Eugene Young

Brandon Eugene Young, age 32, of Topeka passed away Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at Stormont Vail Hospital.  He was born September 9, 1989 in Topeka, the son of Eugene Young and Angela Callahan.  Brandon lived most of his life in Topeka, KS, attending Topeka West High School.  He worked in food services for most of his adult life.  Brandon enjoyed basketball, baseball, fishing, and listening to and creating music.  When younger, he was active with the Boy Scouts. Brandon was kind-hearted, caring and optimistic.  He loved and was loyal to his friends and his family.

Brandon was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jack and Ruby Callahan and Peter and Odell (Bean) Young, his father Eugene, brother Robert Young, and Aunt Karen Hudnall.  He is survived by his mother, Angela Callahan; brother, Matthew Young; sister Rebecca Young (Jesus Velazco), all of Topeka; sister Sarah Jo (Brandon) Agee of Salina, KS; sister Katherine Young (Lawrence Byrd) of Wichita, KS; Allyson Young-Samples (Shaun Samples) of Union City, GA; sister Sharon (Herbert) Herndon of Houston, TX; close cousin Jessica Rusher; one aunt and two uncles, and several cousins and nieces and nephews, as well as the love of his life, Olivia Young of Topeka, KS.

Funeral services will be Friday, March 4, 2022 at 10:30 a.m.  at the Davidson Funeral Home.  He will lie in state from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m.  Thursday, also at the Davidson Funeral Home.  Private family burial will be at the Mt.
