Bonnie Lou Haas, 93, of Topeka, passed away on Saturday, March 8, 2025. She was born October 28, 1931 in Topeka, the daughter of John Reamer and Grace Shetron. Bonnie grew up in Silver Lake and graduated from Silver Lake High School in 1949. After attending Clark’s Business School, Bonnie worked for the Bureau of Agriculture Economics. Bonnie married Clarence Haas November 7, 1952, became a homemaker, and helped Clarence manage their many rental properties. She attended Seaman Congregational United Church of Christ. She enjoyed square dancing, camping, playing cards and gardening. She and Clarence were members of the Swinging Squares Square Dance Club of Topeka and Holiday Rambler Camper Club. She was, later, a member of the Red Hat Ladies.
Clarence passed away on December 24, 2003. Along with her husband and parents, Bonnie was preceded in death by a daughter, Connie Starks, in 1987. Mrs. Haas is survived by: Sons, Gary Haas of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, Lonny Haas (Denise), and Jonny Haas (Linda), of Topeka; 11 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 am on Thursday, March 27, 2025, at Parker-Price and Davidson Cremations, Funerals and Receptions. The funeral will follow the visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be in West Lawn Memorial Gardens, Topeka.
