Bonna Jean Lincoln
Bonna Jean Lincoln, 91, Topeka, died Saturday, December 24, 2016, at Midland Hospice House. She was born May 5, 1925, in Topeka, the daughter of Ralph and Veva "Marie" (Thomas) Wilson.
Bonnie graduated from Topeka High School in 1943. She was a member of Wanamaker Woods Church of the Nazarene.
Her favorite hobbies were making baby quilts, reading books, embroidery, and to travel and go anywhere. Pepsi was her drink of choice all her life. She lived most of her life in North Topeka and was very interested in the activities and history of Topeka.
She was married to William Alva Shoemaker in 1943. He was killed in World War II. She was married to Orville Howard "Bud" Lincoln on June 14, 1946, in Topeka. He preceded her in death in February, 1992.
Surviving are a son: Gary Shoemaker (Patricia) of Topeka; two daughters: Sandra Means (Mike) of Topeka, and Pamela Brungardt (Gary) of Meriden; seven grandchildren: Sherry Knox (Dave) of Topeka, Darryn Shoemaker (Sheri) of Olathe, Karyn Morgan (Mike) of Topeka, Matthew Kahler (Tamara) of Topeka, Michelle Kahler of Warsaw, MO, Derek Brungardt of Meriden, and Evan Brungardt of Topeka; eleven great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, January 3, 2017, at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence Avenue, Topeka. Interment will be in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery, 3616 SW Sixth Avenue, Topeka.
Bonnie will lie in state after 3:00 PM, Monday, January 2, 2017, at the funeral chapel where the family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:00 PM.
