Billie Jo White

Billie Jo White, 74, of Topeka, lost her battle with cancer on August 7, 2023. She was born July 30, 1949 in Topeka, the daughter of Arnold and Darlene Meyer. She was a member of the Topeka High Class of 1967. Billie Jo worked at Volume Shoe Source (Payless Shoes) for over 25 years, later she worked for Sutherlands the last 15 years. She loved to spend time with her grandchildren, sisters and kids. Billie Jo was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan.

She was preceded in death by her husband Merle White, her sister Letha Smith and her parents.

She married Anthony Sciumbato Sr., they later divorced.  She married Merle White October 17, 1987.

Survivors include daughter, Toni Jo Sciumbato, son, Tony (Katie) Sciumbato, daughter, Rachelle (Gary) Fangman, son, Gregg (Christina) White; grandchildren, Jordyan Messenger (Jordin), Jadyan Messenger (Dom), Jayse-Michael Messenger, Jerzey Jo Tripp,  Ahnna Sciumbato, and Aylah Sciumbato; Kaitlyn (Brandon) Stitt, Madison Fangman, Jonna White; great grandchildren River Snowden and a great granddaughter on the way Nolan Stitt, Ryan Stitt; sisters, Nancy VanHoutan (Phil) and Diana Vance (Larry); and her nieces and nephews.

Cremation is planned.  The family will greet friends from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Friday, August 11, 2023 at Davidson Funeral Home, 1035 North Kansas Ave, Topeka, Kansas  66608. Billie Jo was a passionate Chiefs fan. The family would enjoy if everyone would wear your favorite Chiefs attire.
