Bill Kibbee
Bill Kibbee, 87, Topeka, died Friday, January 20, 2017, at Midland Hospice House. He was born October 26, 1929, in Peoria, Illinois, the son of Clifford Lee and Golda Mae (Wofford) Kibbee.
Bill graduated from Silver Lake High School. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and received the Bronze Star. He worked at Goodyear for 38 years. Bill was a member of the Rubber Workers Local, Goodyear Gun Club, and Topeka North Post # 400 of the American Legion.
He was married to Donna Lou Allen on August 18, 1951, in Topeka. She preceded him in death on January 18, 2016. He was also preceded in death by his parents and two brothers: Robert Kibbee, Sr. and Jack Kibbee.
Surviving are a daughter: Jeannie Kibbee of Topeka; brother-in-law: Robert Allen of Eudora; sister-in-law: Sandra Kibbee of Topeka; and cousin-in-law: Bonny Freeman of Meriden.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, at the Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence Avenue, Topeka. Military honors will be conducted at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery, 3616 SW Sixth Avenue, Topeka.
Bill will lie in state from 3:00 to 8:30 PM, Monday, at the funeral chapel where the family will receive friends one hour prior to service time.
Memorial contributions may be made to Midland Hospice, 200 SW Frazier Circle, Topeka, KS 66606-2800.
