OBITUARY: Beverly Jean Meyer
Beverly Jean Meyer, 63, Topeka, died Thurs., Nov. 8, 2012, at Midland Hospice House. She was born July 23, 1949, in Topeka, the daughter of Delmer and Nettie Brees.
Beverly graduated from Highland Park High School in 1967. She worked at Blue Cross – Blue Shield for 30 years. She was a longtime member of Seaman Congregational Church where she served as Clerk.
Beverly was married to Roger D. Meyer on July 28, 1973, in Topeka. Surviving are her husband: Roger; son: Chris and April Meyer of Edgerton; daughter: Jill and Travis Engle of Manhattan; mother: Nettie Brees of Topeka; siblings: LeRoy Brees, JoAnn Judd, Debra Kerley, and Ronald Brees, all of Topeka; and grandchildren: Bella Meyer, Kaylee Meyer, and Rylee Meyer.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Mon., Nov. 12, 2012, at Seaman Congregational Church. Private interment in Meriden Cemetery. Beverly will lie in state after 3:00 PM, Sunday, at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence Ave., Topeka, where the family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 PM.
Memorial contributions may be made to Seaman Congregational Church, 2036 NW Taylor, Topeka, KS 66608-1941.
