Beverly Jane Minton-Eddins, 82, of Topeka passed away at her home on Wednesday, December 6, 2023. She was born in Prairie County, Arkansas the daughter of David and Emmiline Minton. She was raised in Arkansas and graduated from high school at Des Arc, Arkansas in 1959. She later graduated from Arkansas State University with a degree in Elementary Education. Beverly taught in Des Arc and other schools in Arkansas and Doyline, Louisiana. Beverly enjoying taking walks, working puzzles, and became a very good cook. As the years went by she enjoyed her grandkids and they were very important to her and became a big part of her life. After moving to Topeka in 1999 she continued her career in the Seaman School District. She is the wife of Pastor Charles Eddins, Associate Pastor of Grace Baptist Church in Topeka.
She is survived by her husband Pastor Charles Eddins of Topeka; son, Charles D. “David” Eddins of Topeka; daughter, Laura E. Woodworth of Topeka; brothers, Lonnie Royce Minton of Fletcher, Oklahoma, Richard Minton of Batesville, Arkansas and Joe Minton of Beebe, Arkansas; sister, Brenda Miller of Avondale, Louisiana; and four grandchildren, Ashley, Stefanie, Michael and Alexis.
She was preceded in death by her son-in-law Gilbert Woodworth in 2005
Cremation is planned. Her memorial service will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, December 11, 2023 at Grace Missionary Baptist Church. Inurnment will be held on a later date at Grantville Cemetery. www.davidsonfuneral.com.
