OBITUARY: Mrs. Beverly Ann Bahr
Mrs. Beverly Ann Bahr, 72, Topeka died Tues., Jan. 10, 2006, at Midland Hospice House. She was born April 28, 1933, at Fort Dodge, IA the daughter of Orval and Myrtle Cloud Clabaugh.
She attended Fort Dodge schools graduating from Fort Dodge High School in 1951. Starting while in high school she was a telephone operator at Fort Dodge from 1950 to 1955.
Beverly met Earl E.Bahr in the summer of 1955 at Lake Okoboji, IA. They were married on Jan. 1, 1956 at Fort Dodge. He preceded her in death on April 19, 1994. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Roseann Bahr.
She was an operator for Southwestern Bell of Topeka from 1956 to 1958. Beverly worked 17 years for Alcoholic Beverage Control as an office assistant IV. She attended Oakland Un. Methodist Church and was a member of Active Prime Timers; Widowed Persons Service; Democratic Women; and A.A.R.P. She loved plants and gardening and since a child had loved music.
Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law: Michelle and Dale Bonjour of Berryton; a son and daughter-in-law: Gregg and Becky Bahr of Topeka; 2 grandchildren: Kimberly and Joshua Bahr of Topeka; her mother: Myrtle Clabaugh of Fort Dodge, IA; a sister and brother-in-law: Arlene and Dave Vaala of Bluffston, SC; and 2 nieces: Debbie Vaala and Sandy Vaala-Reed.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m., Sat., Jan. 14, 2006, at Oakland Un. Methodist Church, 801 NE Chester. Interment will be in Penwell-Gabel's Memorial Park Cemetery.
Beverly will lie in state after 3:00 PM Fri. at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
