Beulah Mae Henderson
Beulah Mae Henderson, 89, Topeka, died Friday, August 5, 2016, at Kelly House, Meriden. She was born September 19, 1926, in Parthenon, AR, the daughter of Robert "Farmer" and Laura Mary (Smith) Kelley.
She moved to Topeka in 1951. She was a member of First Southern Baptist Church.
Beulah enjoyed camping, fishing, quilting, sewing, crocheting, crafts, metal detecting, jig saw puzzles, baking, and gardening.
Beulah was married to Vernon Willie Henderson on February 20, 1944, in Parthenon, AR. He preceded her in death on January 15, 2016. She was also preceded in death by her parents; a son: David R. Henderson on September 14, 1954 and a great-grandson: James Andrew Lynch.
Surviving are her children: Don Henderson (Linda) of Hoyt, Deborah Lynch (Jay Abney) of Topeka, and Darlene Martin (Doug) of Topeka; siblings: Goldie Kelley of Grants Pass, OR, Faye Smith of Woodlawn, CA, and Robert Kelley of Harrison, AR; ten grandchildren: Dion Henderson (Monique), Tammy Erickson (Ricky), Keri Henderson, Dustin Henderson, Kevin Henderson (Erica), Angela Humpert (Jake), Chris Lynch (Holly), Melissa Lynch, Thad Martin (Natalie) and Chad Johnson (Sasha); great-grandchildren: Shane Henderson, Karliegh Henderson, Addison Henderson, Steven Richardson, Travis Richardson, Brooke Brennan, Kai and Zoe Yim, Andrew Henderson, Corey Humpert, Kaitlin Humpert, Dylan Martindale Lynch, Kelsie Lynch, Brandi Lynch, Emily Keck, Lucas Keck, DiSaya Lynch, Destanie Martin, Briaunna Martin, Trae Martin, Shalee and Kaden, Harper Johnson, Hagan Johnson and Hendricks Johnson.; and several great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM, Friday, August 12, 2016, at Mount Hope Cemetery and Chapel, 4700 SW 17th Street, Topeka. Interment will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
Beulah will lie in state from 3:00 to 8:30 PM, Thursday, at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence Avenue, Topeka. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at Mount Hope Cemetery and Chapel.
