Betty Ann Turpin, 89, of Meriden, Kansas passed away on March 26, 2022.   She was born August 26, 1932 in Topeka, the daughter of Lester and Edna Runyan Brown.  Betty was one of nine siblings in her family growing up Topeka, Kansas.   She attended Perry United Methodist Church while growing up.   She was a homemaker but also worked for 25 years at Jostens Yearbook Company.   She enjoyed baking, canning, country music, especially Elvis music, and watching Highway to Heaven with her favorite actor Michael Landon.  Betty was a generous person and took in several other family members to help them out during hardships.  She had attended Grantville United Methodist Church with her family.

She was married to John Turpin on October 22, 1949 in Topeka.   He preceded her in death on July 8, 1996.

Survivors include her children, Mike J. Turpin of Topeka, Bruce (Suzy) Turpin of Topeka, Tom (Terry) Turpin of Topeka, Terry (Debbie) Turpin of Perry, Mark (Rachelle) Turpin of Meriden, Barbara Lehmann (Ronald) of Topeka, and Karen Miller (Doug) of Perry; brother Donald Brown of Topeka; 21 grandchildren and 65 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 9, 2022 at Davidson Funeral Home.   Interment will follow at the Newman-Rose Hill Cemetery west of Perry.  The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday evening, April 8 at the funeral home.   Memorial contributions may be made to Jefferson County Home Health and Hospice.
