Betty J. Scott-Johnson, 74, of Topeka, passed away Friday, February 26, 2010. Betty was born June 20, 1935 the daughter of James and Viola Pritchard.
Betty is survived by her husband Blaine of the home, her daughter Kim Galey, her grandson Tyrone Platt and foster grandson Jose Guerrero. Also surviving are two step-children, Van Johnson of Topeka and Colleen Johnson of Oklahoma, her best friend Linda Glasgow and other friends too numerous to mention. Betty leaves for friends her infectious smile and ability to laugh, her passionate love of her animals and all God's creatures. Betty had an insatiable need to help those less fortunate and brought peace and harmony wherever she went. Betty could gather all her loved ones and hold them near.
She thanked her Lord everyday for his love and guidance. We will miss her and love her each day.
Memorial services will be held, Saturday, March 13th at the North Topeka Baptist Church at 11:00 a.m.
Private inurnment will be in the Penwell-Gabel Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the North Topeka Baptist Church, 123 NW Gordon, 66608. The Penwell-Gabel Parker Price Chapel is assisting with arrangements.
