Betty Lee Walters
Betty Lee Walters, 91, Topeka, died Sun., Feb. 13, 2011, at Lexington Park Nursing. She was born Dec. 8, 1919, in Topeka, the daughter of Floyd A. and Verna R. (Owen) Rogers.
Betty was retired from Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Kansas. She was married to Ballard "Bob" Walters in 1937. He preceded her in death in 1983. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Owen Keith Rogers; son, Floyd "Buck" Walters; and granddaughter, Tamara Corriea. Surviving are a daughter, Beverly J. Hicks of Topeka; six grandchildren; and 33 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM, Thurs., Feb. 17, 2011, at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence Ave. Interment in Mount Hope Cemetery. Betty will lie in state from 3:00 to 8:30 PM, Wed., at the funeral chapel.
